What a brilliant thing to do ...

• ‘THIS IS...’ - Acknowledge that God has made the day
• ‘LET US...’ - Gather and encourage each other to rejoice,
• ‘BE GLAD...’ - Make a decision to be glad, intentionally find a reason to be thankful

Our Mission (taken from our Vision) – is, “to carry the Life & Hope of Jesus everywhere we go”.

In everything we do there must be “intent”. We must be determined, make a decision; and this is so much easier when we base these decisions on the truth that Jesus has made each and every day for us.

Today, I want to thank you for making the decision to rejoice and be glad ... and all the more so for encouraging each other (Let Us...) to do the same.

New Zealand has a culture that releases amazing energy and atmosphere ... “a crowd draws a crowd” and we can see this in pretty much every part of our nation; whether it is to do with sport, a ‘cause’, and politics and even in Church.

As Believers, everything we do is to bring Glory of God, to bring the Earth back into the Kingdom of God. How do we do that? By destroying the works of the Devil any way we can. The best way is to operate in completely the opposite manner to the Devil. The Devils Primary Mission is described in JOHN 10:10 ... “to steal, kill and destroy” ...Our response: is the same as Jesus’ ... “to bring life and that more abundantly”.

The enterprise of Mission is a personal one; every Believer is a Soul-winner; every Minister (that’s all of us) holds office under the Great Commission (MATTHEW 28); the Mission Enterprise is the work of not merely all, but of EACH!

ZECHARIAH 4:6 (NCV) Then he told me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘You will not succeed by your own strength or power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord All- Powerful.

Clearly, we cannot be successful in this if we only depend on our own strength or plans. It is not wrong to have an expectant heart toward God that He would move on our behalf as we step out in obedience to His call. He is a big God and we must not think of Him in Human Earthly dimensions.

The tiniest detail in which I obey has all the omnipotent power of the Grace of God behind it!

If I serve not for duty’s sake, but because I believe God is overseeing my serving and faithfulness and orchestrating the Mission, then every point of my faithful serving and obedience releases the whole
superb Grace of God and that power is mine through His Atoning Love ... AND HE WILL BE GLORIFIED!

Suz and I want to encourage you ... Rejoice! For this IS the day the Lord has made! We want to be glad with you.

You are a brilliant Church and a wonderful people; created by God in Christ Jesus, called of God for a good work, which He went before and prepared that we should walk in.

Step into everything God has for you today and this week.
